Good Reads = Awesome Website

21 Aug

Tonight I was with a friend in a bookstore. I was not tempted to purchase anything because I have several books I’m reading now and a few on hold at the library. My current reading list is full.

For some people, selecting the next book can be frustrating. There are so many options and nearly as many recommendations. What to do?

As a reading addict, I mostly rely on Good Reads. It’s a website (www.goodreads.com) that allows you to record books you’ve read (including ratings, dates, and more) as well as see what your friends are reading. Between what Good Reads recommends for me based on my reading history and the recommendations of friends, in addition to my addiction to reading mystery series (and tracking it through Good Reads), my reading list is nicely tightened up.

So for some, the following photo might be what you see when you walk into a library to make a selection.

However, with Good Reads, you might be able to see each book individually and make your selection easily.

Best reading wishes!
