20th Day of Lent

Word of the Day: Bless

Psalm 29:11The Lord gives strength to his people;  the Lord blesses his people with peace.”

At the holidays there is no bigger blessing for me, after days enjoying family and friends, than to enjoy time in front of the tree, with only the tree lights. Quiet, tranquil, and relaxing in the blessings of the holiday.

21st Day of Lent

Word of the Day: Night

Genesis 1:17-18 (NIV) 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth,
18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.

18th Day of Lent

Word of the Day: Leave

Joshua 1:5 “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

In Michigan, daffodils are a promise of spring to come, a renewal of seasons, and another chilly winter warming into summer.

17th Day of Lent

Word of the Day: Prophet

When a word is hard for me, I got to the dictionary.

1: one who utters divinely inspired revelations: as
  a. often capitalized: the writer of one of the prophetic books of the Bible
b.capitalized: one regarded by a group of followers as the final authoritative revealer of God’s will
2: one gifted with more than ordinary spiritual and moral insight; especially: an inspired poet
If I go with #2, then this sweetheart below has prophet-like skills.
She has faith that her needs will be met, she cares for those around her,
and she shares her love in the greatest ways when we’re down.

16th Day of Lent

Word of the Day: Earthly

What’s more earthly than plants, sky, and God’s love through this promised rainbow?
He gives us signs of His Love daily: grass grows, birds fly, and hurts are healed (physical, mental, or emotional).

Word of the Day: Hear

Can you hear the leaves crunch when you see this photo?
I can, because I was hoping for a shot of a squirrel smelling the daffodils.
He heard me too and got out of there! He prefers to remain anonymous.

Word of the Day: Lift

Pysanky is an old Russian/Ukrainian/Polish tradition.
It involves using beeswax as a marker and then laying various dyes to make designs.
Once the beeswax is lifted off with heat, only beauty remains (at least I hope so!).
